Sultor Nacle is a French electronic music producer who started to do things in this field in the late 90's. He likes Aphex Twin/Warp a lot, while this influence cannot always be heard in his music ; because Sultor Nacle is doing his own thing, basically.

Album No 1 was initially released in 2008. Some people think this is Sultor Nacle's best release ever. I cannot have a precise opinion on this matter. All I can say is that Album No 1 is great, this, is for sure. With totally mind-blowing bits such as 'Pionier', you can be pretty sure of the fact that, if you invest a part of your time into the process of discovering this great artist, you will appreciate what he does.

This album, to be true, is the debut album from Sultor Nacle. Just because he has been producing electronic music in his room for ten years before actually releasing something. But it was worthing it to wait. Just because this music is simply excellent.

To be true, without the endless efforts from the (now almost defunct) ZC Virtual Netlabel's crew, Sultor Nacle would probably never have taken the decision of issuing something. As a disclaimer, I must add immediately that the ZC Virtual crew, this is me. So then, I've been talking, very prudently, with Sultor Nacle for month, even for years, in order to have him publishing a release. And he eventually accepted, which is, for the whole mankind, a real good thing, just because, I am not sure if mankind deserves to have access to such good music, but now that it is available, mankind can listen to it, and enjoy it... So why not ?

As I said, Sultor Nacle is pretty much a fan of IDM/Ambient pioneers such as Aphex Twin. He also likes a lot Japanese culture, especially mangas, video games and video games music. These influence are not that much audible in his work, but the attentive listener may find some things in it that indicate the artist's taste...

Sultor Nacle blends a mix of experimental and very melodic aspects in his music. The final result is probably the best that can be done in such category... Or maybe, the best that can be done in just any category.

There's no vocals on this album. This is purely instrumental music. But, what a music ! Subtle and straightforward simultaneously, this is definitively some kind of music anyone should enjoy - and, even if you are not exactly an electronic music lover, I would suggest you take time nevertheless to give this album a listen. Because it is simply different. Oh, wait, this is still straight IDM/Ambient stuff, and the people liking these styles will not be lost. But Sultor Nacle put his own touch on it, that's why I would recommend this album to the audience at large, and not only to the usual electronic music liking sphere.

If I had to sum up this release in only one sentence, I would say : GO DOWNLOAD IT !
